Donate unused items

Not so much a get-out-and-have-fun challenge but a good one to do!

This week, get rid of items you no longer use or want in your home and donate them to your local MCC Thrift shop.

If you’re doing this challenge solo, go through as many rooms as you have time for during the week. If you have multiple people in your house, have each person pick a room and try to go through your entire house as a group, making sure not to give away any items others may want to keep.

Once you’ve gathered up all the items you’re willing to part with, drop them off at your local MCC Thrift shop. Donating items has many benefits:

  1. You gain space in your home.
  2. Someone else gets to benefit from your donation at an affordable price.
  3. You extend the life of your gently used items which reduces landfill waste.
  4. You help people in need through MCC-supported programs locally and around the world.
